GENE-wiki is a simple but powerful iPhone/iPod Touch app delivering proteomic and bioinformatic data in a convenient and portable format.

Version 1.1 of GENE-wiki ships with a human and mouse gene database consisting of more than 32,000 records indexed by name, approved symbol, entrez gene ID, HGNC ID and uniprot ID to facilitate filtering and searches across multiple databases including NCBI and UniProt.

GENE-wiki's offline mode means that data can be accessed without the need to connect to the internet. Updates to the human and mouse database are carried out transparently whenever an internet connection is detected during application startup so there's no need to worry about not having the most up-to-date data.
